Please note: Entry to Xpo Connect is recommended for professionals in the Tourism, Accommodation, Food and Hospitality industry and contractors servicing these industries. Xpo Connect is a brand name used by the NZChefs Association.
 
 

1. Xpo Connect
Xpo connect is a business event/show organised by NZChefs as part of the NZ Hospitality Summit. Entry requires registration and is at no cost.
 

2 Covid-19 Restrictions
If restrictions are in place  due to COVID19 but the event is still able to proceed , in any form, then the normal cancellation rules apply.
 
If the event cannot proceed due to COVID  19 alert level restrictions, then any deposits or funds paid can either be refunded or carried forward to the postponement date (if any), less any costs incurred by the event in terms of set up costs or advertising/marketing costs.
 
 

3 Covid-19 Safety Precautions
All exhibitors, attendees, and staff at Xpo Connect are asked to adhere to the following practises and procedures to safeguard the health and safety of everyone.
 
       Use the contact tracing via sign in or app scan
       Covid-19 safety signage throughout the venue
       Increased surface cleaning with hospital grade disinfectant
       Hand sanitising stations at entry and throughout venue
 
       Complimentary face masks will be available on request
       Compliance with the Events Sector Voluntary Code issued by MBIE

 
We ask that if you are sick or are experiencing any cold and flu symptoms, please stay home.
 
 

4 Event Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation of exhibit stand – 30 days + out of the event – 100% refund
Cancellation of exhibit stand – 29 days – 15 days out of the event – 50% refund
Cancellation of exhibit stand – 14 days out of the event – no refund

5 Xpo Connect Right to Cancel Ticket and Refuse Entry
Xpo Connect reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel any registration/badge. Xpo Connect also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reasonably refuse entry to any person to Xpo Connect 2021.
 
 

6 Event Schedule
XPO Connect reserves the right to change any event schedules without notification due to unforeseen circumstances. Xpo Connect does not accept any liability for any accommodation, travel or associated bookings or costs made or incurred by any event exhibitor or attendee.
 

7 Civil Defence Emergency
 
The Trust Arena is an emergency welfare centre for Civil Defences purposes and should a civil defence emergency occur, the venue in part or in its entirety may be required for use as an emergency welfare centre without notice. In the vent of this occurrence, the venue will immediately and without right to compensation be vacated.
 
 

8 Visitors promoting own business
Visitors agree they will not promote their products or services to exhibitors while attending the show. Visitors found in breach of this rule may be asked to leave the event immediately and be refused entry to future shows.
 
 

9 Badges
For the purposes of Xpo Connect 2021 and for this document, Badges are defined as an event card bearing identifying information such as a person’s name and company name
• Badges are distributed upon entry at Xpo Connect 2021. • For safety and security reasons, it is a requirement of the delegate to wear their badge at all times whilst at the Trusts Arena.

10 Xpo Connect Privacy Policy
Xpo Connect values your feedback and privacy. By registering to attend Xpo Connect 2021, your personal information may be collected and used by Xpo Connect (which includes disclosure to third parties) for the purposes of processing your registration, conducting Xpo Connect 2021, and for publicity purposes surrounding Xpo Connect 2021. You consent to the use of your personal information as described.

11 Photography and Filming Policy
The Xpo Connect event will be photographed or filmed, and your images may be captured. This footage may be used for internal and external promotional purposes. By registering and attending you automatically consent to NZChefs using photography and video in which you may appear for current or future marketing.

12 Xpo Connect Code of Conduct
Any behaviour that is considered to be harassing or disrespectful including  messages, images, or interactions by any participant including any behaviour that is degrading to any gender, race, sexual orientation or disability, or any behaviour that would violate the Human Rights Act, Race Relations Act or Standards of Business Conduct, in any form, at any aspect of the program including business and social activities, regardless of location will not be tolerated by Xpo Connect or its organisers

We encourage everyone to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment. Please report any concerns, harassing behaviour, or suspicious or disruptive activity to event management. NZChefs reserves the right to refuse admittance to or remove any person from an event at any time at its sole discretion.

13 Guarantees
These Terms and Conditions do not, nor do they purport to, limit, exclude or modify any non-excludable statutory guarantees provided under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act, or any other warranties, whether express or implied.

14 Liability
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded, Xpo Connect excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of your participation in the Xpo Connect 2021 or any associated activities. This includes travel to and from the venue.

15 Identification
Valid identification may be required for ticketed attendees. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid passport or driver’s license.
 
 

16 Accompanied Minors
All minors aged 18 years old and under attending Xpo Connect must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
 
 

17 Smoking Policy
The Venue is strictly a ‘no smoking’ venue and the Hirer must strictly adhere to and enforce this policy and the requirements of the Smoke Free Environments Act 1990, Smoke-free Environments Amendment Act 2003, and any statutory amendments at all times
